Give it a goAbove 1080p, YouTube stops shipping video and audio as one file. The 4K picture and the soundtrack live in separate streams and have to be merged before you get a playable MP4. We do that merge server-side with ffmpeg, which is why high-resolution downloads take a few seconds longer than a 720p one. If speed matters more than pixels, 720p is the fastest useful option.
If you paste a link that sits inside a playlist, we deliberately take only that single video. Handing someone a 200-video queue because their URL happened to carry a list parameter is a good way to waste everyone time and bandwidth. Want another video from the list, paste that one separately.
