Give it a goReddit hosts video on v.redd.it and stores the picture and the sound as two separate streams (a DASH setup). A lazy downloader grabs only the video stream and you end up with a mute clip. We pull both streams and merge them with ffmpeg, so what you save actually has sound. This is the single most common Reddit complaint, and it is exactly what we fixed.
